Independent work
Most local messengers work independently. People hire a messenger to deliver a note or parcel.
Finding a messenger
The marketplace is a common place to find someone for an errand, though messengers work throughout the village.
The person behind the task
Delivering a message brings him into Alaric’s morning and links a simple errand with the wider events of the day.
